Tropical dry deciduous forests and conjunction of hilly terrain of Aravalli and Vindhyan Mountains.

Dhok (Anogeissus pendula), Khair (Acacia catechu), Ber(Zizyphus), Salar(Boswellia serrata)

Fauna

Tiger, Panther, Chital, Sambhar, Blue bull, Jackal, Jungle Cat, Caracal, Wild boar, Chinkara & Tree pie, Cuckoo, fly Catcher birds, Warblers, Parakeets etc

Species of conservation interest

Tiger, Leopard and Sloth bear Crocodile, Civet, Chinkara, Birds of prey

How to see

By Jeep, Gypsy and Canter Truck provided by RTDC, Forest Deptt. and Private tour operators. Entry is limited. Two shifts of 10 gypsies and 6 canters are permitted in the park 7 am to 10 am and 2.30 pm to 6.30 pm

Forest Rest House at Alanpur Sawaimadhopur, Many private and RTDC  hotels are available near the Park. A wide range of accommodation of different categories also available

Visit of Historical Fort and Genesh Temple,adjoining Sawai Man Singh Sanctuary, Palighat of the Chambal River for Gavials. Local art and Handicrafts

Best time for visit

October - June (Closed in Rains) from 1st July to 30th September. In March-April sighting of Tiger better. This Park provides the best possibilities of sighting Tiger in Wild.
